Ayuttaya Today #Blog 10



Ayutthaya, the capital of the Thai Kingdom was found by U-Thong King in 1350. Ayutthaya as an island is formed by the gathering of three rivers, the Chao Phraya, the Pasak, and the Lopburi and surrounded by rice terraces. It is easy to see why the Ayutthaya area was settled prior to this date since the site offered a variety of geographical and economic advantages.

Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, covering 2,556 square kilometres, is located in the flat river plain of the Chao Phraya river valley. The presence of the Lop Buri and Pa Sak rivers makes the province a major rice farming area. And the local people have lived in the old style, which is agriculture and how they live in each day. Because they are nurtured by their parent, grandmother and grandfather in which of their life style.

In the term of agriculture product, absolutely rice is the number one product in Ayuttaya because of the have effected from their parent. And another products there also are local products such as, Palm Leaf Fish Mobile, Bamboo Fan, Palm Leaf Hat, and Roti Sai Mai. Moreover, the tourism Ayuttaya  is also very popular because of there are a lot of old sculptures,such as temples, that is why travelers need to go to visit Ayuttaya.

However, there are approximately 503 temples in Ayuttaya. The one thing that Thai people believe in activity of Buddhism is the praying 9 temples in one day. It will make who can do it has better. Some of famous temples in Ayuttaya are Wat Yai Chaimongkon, Wat Phra Si Sanphet, and Wat Phanan Choeng... so on.

Thus, if you all have a chance to go to Ayuttaya. I would like to mention you to go to pray 9 temples to make better things come to your life. And don't forget to go to visit where is the producing local products to buy it to be souvenir.
